Recently I was looking for some good ‘detox salads’ and came across this recipe from Iowa Girl Eats. The name caught my eye, then I saw the picture. There are plenty of colors, flavors, and textures to satisfy my tastebuds. Not only is there variety, but there is also plenty of vitamins and nutrients.
- Sliced almonds
- Balsamic vinaigrette
Start by marinating the kale, spinach, and cabbage in the balsamic vinaigrette. This softens the greens. Add salt and pepper to add a layer of flavor.
Next, slice the carrots, cucumber, and strawberries. Place everything on the greens. Add extra vinaigrette if desired. Mix everything together and enjoy!
