It’s crazy how much of a difference setting your intentions can make. When you have the right mindset, you are more likely to be more productive. A few days ago I was not feeling like doing anything. Instead of giving into those feelings I pushed myself to get up and get moving. The more I did, the more I wanted to get done.
This made me think about how I should start everyday. If you start the day with the right intentions and act before you talk yourself out of it, you will keep wanting to do more because of the satisfaction you get from being productive.
Every night I create my schedule for the next day and every morning I do the same routine which helps me make a productive start to my day. I wake up and think positive thoughts and reflect on my goals. These thoughts help me start my day with a positive mindset. I then make my bed and clean the litter box. Finally I workout. All of this combined puts me in a great mood because this is all accomplished before 7am!
I find the best way to set your intentions is to start the night before. If you plan ahead, you will plan for success. How are you supposed to be productive if you don’t have a list of tasks to complete? I find it’s best to not expect myself to complete my whole list. I tend to complete half of my list and keep the rest for the next day. This gives me something to look forward to.
