One very helpful way to improve your eating habits is to listen to your body. When you eat, ask yourself how you feel after. Better yet, before you eat, ask yourself how you will feel after. I’ve noticed that when I eat something healthy I feel way better the next day than if I had eaten something that’s not good for me. Food is meant to fuel you, not to satisfy your emotions. Your emotions should be satisfied by the fact that you are making choices that make your body feel good.
I’m on vacation currently and have realized just how important it is to listen to your body. I have not been listening to my body. Instead, I see food and need it despite not being hungry. I tend to eat like I’ll never eat again. I’m hoping I can get better at thinking about how my body will feel. Everyday is a new day to start fresh. Today I will focus on how my body will feel after I eat something before I eat it.
