Vacation Nutrition Log – Saturday March 14th

Today is day one of my trip to Florida. My flight leaves at 10:25 so I will be getting there right around lunch time. Let’s hope I’m able to make healthy choices!

I started the day with coffee at home and opted for a smoothie at the airport. I am happy I decided against the carb heavy options.

For lunch I had a fried soft shell crab, crab and cheese dip, and crab and corn chowder. I ate more than I felt hungry for. I have been trying to get in the habit of only eating when hungry, but that’s a hard concept for me when I’m on vacation.

Dinner is where all my hard work just went out the window I ate a quesadilla and ice cream and cookies. It doesn’t sound like a lot, but it is when I wasn’t even close to hungry.

I’m hoping tomorrow I can stay on track and look at today as a cheat day. I just need to plan ahead and start my day off right. I am setting a goal for my water intake and I am going to start the day by going to the gym.

I think one of my issues with food is that I worry if I don’t eat when the food is offered I won’t be able to eat when I’m actually hungry. I am going to work on getting past that. It’s ok if I don’t eat dinner because I had way too big of a lunch.
